Brian Reisinger has built a hard-fought career in storytelling, messaging, and public affairs consulting – from his time as an investigative journalist, to the series of strategic communications initiatives he’s led in the Midwest and across the country, including coalition efforts, private sector projects, and nationally targeted political campaigns. Brian’s writing has received awards from the National Society of Newspaper Columnists, and in 2021 he was named to the American Association of Political Consultants’ “40 Under 40” list.
Brian has headed strategic communications initiatives for global companies, bipartisan ballot measures, state and federal political campaigns, issue advocacy organizations, policy thinktanks, and U.S. Senate committees on healthcare, education, labor, energy, and infrastructure. He served as a Senior Advisor to Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s campaign, and before that as Communications Director for the campaigns of U.S. Sen. Lamar Alexander of Tennessee and U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin – called the “upset of the cycle” among dozens of U.S. Senate races that year. He also served in Alexander’s U.S. Senate office.
In addition to managing day-to-day operations at Platform and strategy across the company, Brian currently serves as a Strategic Advisor to the Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty, a leading law firm and policy thinktank. He has previously served as a Senior Advisor to the Republican Party of Wisconsin during the upset Supreme Court election victory of 2019, and has provided debate prep and messaging guidance to numerous successful federal, state, and judicial candidates. In 2016, prior to joining Platform Communications, he founded Hilltop Strategies, a Wisconsin-based content writing, messaging, and crisis communications firm.
Earlier in his career as an investigative journalist for daily newspapers and business publications, Brian specialized in covering the economy and business, government, political campaigns, finance, legal affairs, publicly traded companies, and other political and economic issues. He remains a regularly published columnist and magazine writer in publications covering policy, business and the economy, culture, news, and the outdoors.
Brian specializes in communications strategy, public advocacy, crisis management, writing, messaging, ad campaigns, media relations, media and debate prep, and digital rapid response. Brian brings clear focus, battle-tested experience, and unsurpassed work ethic to his work at Platform.
